Colonial and Early Victorian homes (1836–1870) are defined by symmetry, proportion, and a restrained elegance. Influenced by Georgian and Classical design, this style features simple yet dignified detailing, with mouldings that are slim, straight-lined, and functional. Architraves and skirting boards were minimal in scale but crafted to frame doors, windows, and interiors with quiet refinement.
