Materials guide
High-quality MDF and sustainably sourced timbers
At Classic Architraves, we manufacture mouldings using only the finest materials — offering both premium HMR MDF and eco-selected timber species to suit any interior project.
Australian-Made HMR MDF (High Moisture Resistant)
We use ultra-moisture resistant (HMR) MDF manufactured in Australia from reconstituted plantation pine fibres. Produced without solvents and rated E0 for zero formaldehyde emissions, it’s ideal for interiors where stability, safety, and durability matter. Our HMR MDF mouldings are available in 5.4 metre lengths.
Eco-Selected Timbers
We also offer a broad selection of timbers from plantation-grown or renewable sources, including:
- Finger jointed NZ pine
- American Oak
- Walnut
- Select Tasmanian Oak or other hardwoods
